Hey PE students!

I'm back in the blogging game...thought I would start with a few laughs from Jimmy #fitnessfail 😄

  1. Most of them were pretty funny. The treadmill joke reminds me of our family friend's little boy who put his hands under the belt of the treadmill while his mother was running. She didn't notice him in the room and for some reason thought he could stop the belt and it resulted in his skin peeling off. Apparently he didn't cry but the mom did. We went to see him the next day and his fingers were wrapped and he was given anesthesia so he played with us as normal. Getting back to the video I loved the joke that said a man bought an exercise machine so he could show off. I feel like this video is good for giving people motivation that they are at least better than some people in physical fitness.

  2. I found the one where the lady got her arms stuck in the air really funny because I feel like that's something that would happen to me. Also, I found the one where the guy was eating the cookie very relatable, because I also love cookies. It reminds me of when I'm exercising and I get distracted by something else that I like to do. I think the video was very encouraging because it's about people who want to start a healthy lifestyle but "fail". I guess that shows that we all have to start from somewhere and we're all different. It makes us feel better about ourselves when we "fail" too.

  3. I love Jimmy Fallon! I found all of these jokes very funny and relatable. I liked the joke about the lady with the "Nordictrak" and how her kids renamed it to the "Ignordictrak." This joke really reminded me of my own family. We have a treadmill in our house but it hasn't gotten much use lately since my family and I have been so busy with other things. Sometimes, if there isn't space for our laundry to be hung to dry it will be hung on our treadmill. I'm sure somebody in my family will come up with a new name for it sometime soon! This was a really funny video and a great way to motivate yourself to exercise. Everybody starts somewhere!

  4. Well, those were funny. I guess a lot of people have fitness fails. I don't know if I have. I try a lot of things and probably do look crazy sometimes. My mom thinks that when I use my dad's rollerblades that it's hilarious because it's so 90s. I don't wear spandex, I've seen the pictures! Apparently my mom used to teach a fitness class with a module on rollerblading. Not sure if she wore spandex. Probably. In fact, I think that wearing too much spandex now would be a fitness fail.
I do know that a lot of people have home gyms that they never use. I see them when they give us a house tour. They are coated with dust, so I am sure that they are just for show. Ours gets used practically everyday, even in the summer. It's the first part of the house that my dad renovated when we moved here 10 years ago. We have a big screen tv and I also have my server there because it is the farthest room away from the rest of the house (the server does make a bit of noise).
Anyway, Jimmy Fallon is funny. Especially if you just watch the highlights on YouTube.

  5. These were pretty funny although I think many of these I've honestly done close to. When i see poeple at the gym doing certain excersises sometimes I do tend to copy some because they look effective but I DONT do it right by them so they see like the guy did with the personal trainer. Sadly, sometimes I get stuck with a too heavy weight to take off my hips when Im doing hip thrusts and i have to sit down on the ground and roll it down my legs and it's quite embaressing but you got to do what you got to do just like the guy roller his weight all down his body untill he could lift it off lol. Finally my most embaressing moment like the guy that dropped the the wight on himself, I have had that problem chest pressing but luckily my brother was there to grad it before it fell on my face. That is why its always good to have a spotter at the gym.

  6. I love the Tonight Show! My favourite answer was probably the one where the lady followed around a personal trainer and their client! Other than that I also liked the one where their arms got stuck in the air on the treadmill! This video reminds me that not everyone is perfect especially when it comes to staying motivated and mastering an exercise. I found this motivating and refreshing to hear about something I could relate to. Also it's a good idea to not take it too seriously all the time!

  7. I think that all the comments were funny. One of them is when Jimmy Fallon read the thing about the shirt. It's funny and ironic because the person wanted to get off the treadmill and take his jacket off at the same time. This reminds me of when, about a year ago, I was turning on the lights and walked with an Ipad right in front of my face. I didn't realize at first but I ran into my treadmill. I learned that I shouldn't be doing 2 things at the same time when eyesight is restricted just like the guy with the jacket. I enjoyed watching these videos and seeing these peoples' fitness comments because they're funny and it teaches me that there're some things that not smart to do when exercising.

  8. Great stuff Mr. Avery. That tweet by (ZgHolloway) was gold. I've seen a'lot of weird and cringe worthy moments happen at the gym, but nothing to that extent. There was this one time though in which I was at the gym with my dad and this guy who was bench pressing probably about 200 pound completely failed and that person obviously screamed in agony in which someone helped. So the fact that no one helped out this poor dude was troubling but a bit funny at the same time.

I personally think that gym fails are pretty hilarious. There are lots on AFV (American funniest home videos) with fitness fails so its a plus when I can find them on the web.

Jimmy Fallon is funny as can be, so its great to see him engaging with (fitness) as a whole and squeezing a spot onto his show...

  9. so funny! I found some of these fitness fails very relatable, when jimmy reads the tweet about the guy who had the idea of breaking up his free day into small sections I was able to relate to that because that's probably something I would do.

  10. So funny! I found this fitness fails tweet video very good and relatable. I like the one tweet about the guy who was trying to start a diet, I like this one because he was said that he was dieting but then he thought he could break up his free day into smaller sections. I can relate to this one because it seems like something I would probably try to do if I started dieting. This video is really good to watch because it shows that there are other people who have a hard time getting into a healthy lifestyle and getting into shape.

  11. hilarious! the story about @zgholloway rolling weight off himself got me laughing. I tend to work out late at night or early in the morning when gyms are less busy, so I know the feeling of not having someone to spot for you. Also the husband breaking his free day into "small chunks of time" reminds me of my dad. I usually have good luck with eating healthier, but my dad tends to stagger between super clean and super junk foods, its quite funny how we justify things to ourselves. great video!

  12. Really enjoy watching jimmy the part wear he says my dad bought a treadmill just for show reminds me of my dad who bought a New TV just to show others that he has one but the reality is he never uses it no one uses it at our house.

Too funny! I like the one about the guy who's separating his cheat day into chunks of hours throughout the week. I have been to many houses where gym equipment is only holding laundry for people. Great video, Jimmy's the funniest.

  15. This was a funny video, Jimmy has always been a good show host. I liked the part where the person got a call from their credit card company for purchasing exercise equipment.

  21. Haha so funny, loved this video! My favourite was of the lady who copied the personal trainer, I can just picture going to the gym or running track and seeing that in action. The bench press fail sounds tough as well as the person getting their sweater stuck when they were on the treadmill lol. Thanks for including light-hearted and engaging content!
